Volleyball Northern Territory is calling for expressions of interest from athletes across the territory, to compete at the 2026 Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Championships.

Ending the summer with a showcase of Australia’s best young talent, Coolangatta Beach will once again set the stage for this major competition, running from Monday 9 March to Thursday 12 March 2026.

Teams from across the nation will go head-to-head on the sand, competing across age groups from Under 14s to Under 18s. Athletes will battle for the prestigious title of Australian Youth Beach Volleyball Champions and the honor of securing the President’s Cup.

Darwin Trials will be held at Darwin Indoor Beach Volleyball (DIBV)
Alice Srings Trials will be held at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre (ASALC)

Sunday December 07
8:00am – 9:30am

Athletes are encouraged to attend both sessions, but this is not mandatory.

Estimated event costs, including flights, accommodation, uniforms and event registration is $3,700

Trial Payment
There will be a fee of $50 to attend the trials, and if selected in the NT team, will cover the cost of your training shirt.

How to Prepare for Trials
Be ready to perform your best! Here's how:

Before the Session:
- Get a good night’s sleep
- Stay hydrated
- Eat a balanced meal the night before

What to Bring:
- Full volleyball playing kit (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, sand socks, etc.)
- Prehab/recovery gear (foam roller, bands, trigger balls)
- Two full water bottles
- Healthy snacks
- Personal medications (e.g., asthma puffer)
- Notebook for notes (optional)
