Volleyball NT is excited to announce we were successful in obtaining a grant to provide important mental health first aid training for our members, family and friends.

If you’re a parent or teacher or work with young people in any other capacity, adolescent mental health is a global issue and suicide is the leading cause of death for young people, with 1 in 4 young people experiencing a mental health problem.

75% of adults who experience mental illness had their first episode as an adolescent, so it makes sense to get in early and support young people.

This course was previously offered as face-to-face delivery. However, it will now be offered as online training in Youth Mental Health First Aid.

This course is now being delivered as follows:

  • Self paced eLearning module (5-7 hours)

Once you have registered and confirmed, you will receive an email detailing the eLearn access information. Additionally, participants will also receive a voucher to redeem a hard copy of the Youth Mental Health First Aid manual.

  • Online live zoom session - Tuesday 17 June -  6.00 pm to 9.00 pm
  • Online live zoom session - Thursday 19 June - 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm

Please note:

- This training is provided free.
- A
ll participants registering for this event will be required to complete the self paced eLearning component including 2 x live zoom sessions.
- The minimum age to do this course is 18.
