Coaching Volleyball is a rewarding experience as you watch individual athletes evolve into a singular team. Volleyball Australia’s new Coaching Framework means individuals can now do their Level 1 Foundation Coaching Course accreditation online.

Level 1 Foundation Coach

Level 1 - Foundation Coach - 4 hours to complete and cost $49.50 - 

Volleyball Australia has announced that as of August 24 2018, the foundation coaching and officiating course prices have changed to $49.50. Foundation Coaching - This course is delivered through Volleyball Australia's online learning platform and as such is more accessible to entry-level beginner coaches.  The course is designed for entry level coaches to gain skills and knowledge on how to coach primary school aged children, Spikezone clinics, middle and senior high school children, lower divisions at clubs and adult beginners.

How to guide for participants

 

 

 

 

Level 2 Development Coach

Level 2 Development Coach - 6 to 7 hours and completion of prescribed assessment activities. 

A coach is accredited as a Volleyball Talent Development Coach when they successfully complete the prescribed theoretical and practical components.

  1. Pre-requisites

    1. Candidates must be a current Foundation Coach

    2. Completed the Community Coach General Principles course with the Australian Sports Commission. Click here to access the learning portal

  2. Theoretical component: a one day (7hrs) course and completion of prescribed assessment activities.

  3. Practical com

    ponent requires a candidate completing either:

    1. Assessed and competent in 2 Training session and 2 games coaching

      OR

    2. A total of 20 hours coaching practice post-course. Of these 20 hours, 6 hours must be supervised by a recognised mentor who will provide feedback to the candidate on their performance.

  4. The candidate must be 16years old to be eligible for this accreditation
